Sorrow - because the victory was incredibly expensive.
It was paid for with the lives of tens of millions of men, women and children, colossal destruction, the ruin of many states.
The scale of the losses incurred is enormous. The burden of the victims is immeasurable. But they were not in vain."

On April 25, 1975, by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet, a jubilee medal was established to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. According to the Resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 30, 1976, “The awarding of the jubilee medal “Thirty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” is extended to home front workers who were awarded orders or medals of the USSR for labor merits during the war, or were awarded medals “For the Defense of Leningrad,” “For the Defense of Moscow,” “For the Defense of Odessa,” “For the Defense of Sevastopol,” “For the Defense of Stalingrad,” “For the Defense of the Caucasus,” “For the Defense of Kyiv,” and “For the Defense of the Soviet Arctic.” The design of the medal was developed by artists V. A. Ermakov and V. P. Zaitsev (both - obverse) and A. G. Miroshnichenko (reverse).
The medal was made of brass in the form of a regular circle, bordered by a rim on the front and back sides. On the front side of the medal in the center is a bas-relief with an image of the sculpture "Motherland" against the background of holiday lights (this monument by sculptor E. V. Vuchetich is installed on Mamayev Kurgan, Volgograd). On the left is a relief five-pointed star and on a laurel branch the inscription "1945-1975". On the back side of the medal in the center is a relief inscription "XXX years of VICTORY in the GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR 1941-1945". Along the circumference of the medal is a relief inscription "TO THE WAR PARTICIPANT" or "TO THE LABOR FRONT PARTICIPANT", and below is a relief image of a ribbon with a hammer and sickle.
"The Jubilee Medal "Thirty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" is awarded to: all military personnel and civilian employees who took part in combat operations on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR, partisans of the Great Patriotic War, underground participants, as well as other persons awarded the medals "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" and "For Victory over Japan", home front workers awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945". The medal is worn on a pentagonal metal block, which is covered with a silk moire ribbon.
The ribbon of the medal has alternating black and orange stripes along the left edge, green and red along the right, and a wide red longitudinal stripe in the middle. According to the Regulation, the jubilee medal "Thirty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" was supposed to be worn on the left side of the chest, in the presence of orders and other medals of the USSR - after the medal "Twenty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945". Diameter - 36 mm. As of January 1, 1995, approximately 14,259,560 people were awarded the jubilee medal "Thirty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945".
